Dad was diagnosed 14 years ago with prostate cancer on a routine appointment with his doctor. He survived the condition for over 12 years through medication and became the subject of oncology presentations given by his consultant at conferences. Two years ago the cancer mestastisised into his lymph glands and bone and unfortunately his battle against the disease was lost on the 9th October, 5 days after his 86th birthday.
